Students petitioning the College should consider the importance of the petition and take great care in organizing the content of the explanation that is to be completed in the above box.
Petitions for reinstatement from academic suspension must be submitted by the date indicted on the suspension notice. Students who submit a petition should continue to attend classes until notified of the petition outcome. Students whose petitions are denied are suspended for one semester. Students whose petitions are denied will also receive a tuition refund after the drop/add period has ended.
Students who have been on probation after academic suspension and have failed to achieve a 2.0 term GPA are dismissed for one full academic year. Students may petition their dismissal to continue their enrollment by completing this form, which will be submitted to appropriate designee of your home campus above. Students whose petitions are denied are dismissed for one full academic year. At the end of the dismissal period, the student must petition the District Vice President for Student Services or designee for readmission.
Students are contacted on all actions concerning their academic petition.
An appeal of an action may be made under certain conditions. Additional considerations must be addressed to warrant re-submission.
