This program was designed to provide, thorough classroom and clinical instruction, and basic systems overview of the role of the medical assistant in a clinical setting. Classroom lectures cover the theory, anatomy and terminology pertaining to each system. Clinical instruction provides hands-on training in the listed procedures verified through a skills check-off system. Students will receive comprehensive instruction in clinical medical assisting. This course provides 162 hours of classroom instruction plus 160 hour externship which can be done at your speed. Class runs Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6pm to 9pm as well as Saturdays from 9am to 4pm starting October 29, 2012 - February 19, 2013.
