Community Partners Celebrate Earth Day at Edison State College

April 14, 2014 – PUNTA GORDA, FLA. – Edison State College is teaming up with local community partners to host an Earth Day document shredding event and a collection drive, from 9 a.m.- 1p.m., on Wednesday, April 23, at the Edison State College Charlotte Campus, 26300 Airport Rd., Punta Gorda. The event is free and open to the public.

A variety of community partners will be on campus, including:

The Charlotte County Public Works and Waste Management, which will provide free document shredding services and will collect household recyclables such as plastic, glass, paper, and aluminum;

Keep Charlotte Beautiful, which will collect gently used books to distribute at their free community libraries; and

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, which will be accepting donations of clothing, textiles, furniture, small appliances and household items.
