Collier Campus Appoints New Dean

JANUARY 21, 2015 – FORT MYERS, FLA. – The Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) Collier Campus has appointed Gail Murphy as its new Campus Dean of Student Affairs and Academic Services.

“My lifelong passion is to facilitate and support student success,” Murphy said. “The FSW community has mastered the art of maximizing student potential, and I am honored to be a part of this extraordinary college community.”

Murphy has five years of experience at FSW, having served as dual enrollment specialist at the Thomas Edison (Lee) Campus in Fort Myers, and coordinator of adjunct faculty and academic services specialist at FSW Collier Campus. She also served as principal of Norfolk County Agricultural High School in Walpole, Mass. and was a career coordinator for the Quincy, Mass. school system.

“Gail’s background in student success and development is ideal for her new position. She is dedicated to helping students meet their educational and career goals and preparing them for success when they enter the workforce,” said Dr. Robert Jones, Collier Campus President/Regional Vice President Economic & Community Development. “This college and our students benefit from her enthusiasm and expertise.”
