Dual Enrollment

FSWC – Charlotte was designed as an early college high school affording students the opportunity to achieve in four years both a high school diploma and an Associate in Arts degree. The freshman and sophomore honors level courses prepare students to develop the attitudes, behaviors, and skills necessary to do exemplary college level work.

Dual enrollment students take college-level courses that satisfy both high school and college requirements. They do not pay to apply to FSW. All textbooks and laboratory expenses are provided free of charge.

In order to qualify for dual enrollment in the junior year, a student must achieve a 3.0 GPA and achieve college ready scores on ACCUPLACER/ACT,/SAT.

Testing Info

Students with a 3.5 GPA and college ready test scores may also take limited dual enrollment courses in the sophomore year.

Students can also take Spanish I and Spanish II at the college, thereby satisfying the two-year foreign language requirement for admission into a four-year college.
