Community Service

Community service is not required for high school graduation but is strongly encouraged for the purposes of qualifying for the Bright Futures Scholarship (100 hours is required for the Academic Scholars Award and 75 is required for the Florida Medallion Scholarship) and increasing one’s chances of acceptance to universities. Community Service is a great way to give back to your community and show commitment and dedication to a cause or organization. Community Service looks impressive on a student’s resume for college.
