Holocaust Art Exhibit and Reception

Please join us for a curated art exhibit on loan from the Holocaust Museum and Cohen Education Center of Naples.
The Brotherhood of Heroes museum in Cape Coral will also display a number of Holocaust artifacts at the Holocaust Memorial Week at Florida Southwestern College, including a metal food bowl that was traced to a Polish prisoner from the Dachau concentration camp, the first regular concentration camp established by the Nazis in Germany; a tea pot made in the factory of German industrialist Oskar Schindler, a member of the Nazi Party who is credited with saving the lives of 1,200 Jews during the Holocaust; and a life boat paddle from The Henry Gibbons, a troop transport ship that was used to evacuate nearly 1,000 European refugees, predominantly of Jewish descent, from Italy to an American refugee camp in Oswego, N.Y. in 1944.
*There will be a student awards ceremony ay 5:00 for our poster and writing contests.
