Faculty/Staff Profile Overview

FSW grants faculty and staff the right to create personal profile sites within the limit of available resources. Access to the FSW shared web server resources is a privilege, and it is provided with an expectation of responsible and acceptable use.

Guidelines for Use

  • Full-time and part-time faculty and staff are authorized users of the Directory Profile system. Basic directory information about the faculty or staff member is automatically provided in the system. The faculty or staff member is responsible for adding any additional content, and will do so by logging into the system with his/her FSW User ID and Password.
  • Profile pages may not be used for commercial purposes. Materials or services may not be offered for sale through the site, nor should links to external commercial websites be published.
  • Due to both privacy and copyright concerns, uploaded content (such as images or contact information) should pertain only to the individual faculty or staff member. Use of photographs or video in which other individuals appear requires written permission and a release form on file with the college.
  • Course materials (such as syllabi, PowerPoints, etc.) should not be included on the Profile pages. Canvas pages are the standard delivery method for course-related content.
  • Authorized users will abide by institutional policies along with applicable local, state and federal laws.
  • Authorized users are responsible for the accuracy of the information published on their personal pages.
  • Users must adhere to legal and ethical standards governing copyright and intellectual property.

Postings shall be limited to the above usage guidelines. Inappropriate postings may be subject to removal.

Jennifer Young serves as media coordinator in FSW’s Marketing and Media department. She writes press releases and articles, pitches stories, coordinates media coverage, fulfills media requests, and highlights the success of FSW students, staff, and faculty using FSW’s many communications channels including the college website, social media, and the Provost 411 newsletter. Jennifer joined FSW, then Edison State College, in 2013 as a public relations and marketing associate in the college’s first full-service marketing department, Studio Edison State/Studio FSW. During that time, she told the stories of FSW’s Collier Campus, Charlotte Campus, the Hendry/Glades Curtis Center, the School of Business and Technology, the School of Pure and Applied Sciences, and the FSW Foundation. In 2015, she joined the Academic Affairs department as marketing and communications coordinator and was named FSW’s interim media liaison in 2018. Jennifer began her career in higher education in 2005, serving as community relations specialist and then public relations coordinator at South Florida State College (SFSC). During her 15-year career in public relations and marketing, Jennifer has been a part of two Florida college renaming/rebranding campaigns, organized large-scale college and community events, and has been published in local and state magazines. She has received multiple Awards of Excellence from the Association of Florida College’s (AFC) Communications and Marketing Commission for articles she has written on college students, employees, and programs, as well as for the 2016 redesign of FSW’s School of Business and Technology brochure. Jennifer is an active member of the Association of Florida Colleges, having served as publication and public relations chairs for both the FSW and SFSC chapters and president of FSW’s AFC chapter. Though it may go against the Associated Press Stylebook rules of writing, Jennifer is a proud supporter of the oxford comma.
