Local entrepreneurs SCORE with Edison State College

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – Edison State College Charlotte Campus and Port Charlotte SCORE have partnered to offer a pair of courses designed to bolster local business.

 

The eight-session courses, Simple Steps for Starting Your Business and Simple Steps for Growing Your Business, will give entrepreneurs the skill sets and blueprints necessary for success in today’s economy. Tuition for each course is $125 and pre-registration is required.

 

“The synergy between an excellent higher education institution such as Edison State College and our local SCORE Chapter will enhance the opportunities for entrepreneurs and businesses throughout our communities,” said Jim Getz, incoming Chair of Port Charlotte SCORE. “We look forward to a lasting and successful future with Edison State.”

 

With more than 350 SCORE chapters nationwide and a network of more than 13,000 business professional, the nonprofit association has been mentoring entrepreneurs since 1964.

 

Simple Steps for Starting Your Business will meet at 9 a.m. Saturdays beginning Oct. 22 at Edison State College Charlotte Campus. Simple Steps for Growing Your Business will meet at 5 p.m. Thursdays beginning Oct. 20 at the Mid County Library in Port Charlotte.
