Dec 7, 2007

Dr. Robert Beeson has been named Lee Campus Vice President of Academic Affairs at Edison College in Fort Myers, Florida. In his new position, he will work with the district provost and the campus president to develop academic goals and policies to support the College's strategic plan in the area of arts and sciences.

"I am very pleased to be part of such a dynamic institution," Beeson said. "Edison is poised to expand our programs and curricula to meet the needs of our growing five-county service area. It's a pleasure to help lead such a forward-moving organization."

Beeson joined the College in January, 1995, as an adjunct professor of philosophy, and later served in positions of increasing responsibility as Edison's first associate dean, district dean of instruction for arts and sciences, and acting district vice president for academic affairs.
