ESC Professor Ranked 6th in the Nation

Sep 7, 2012

FORT MYERS – Caroline Seefchak, Chair of Developmental Studies and English Professor at Edison State College, found out just how much her students like her this week – a lot.

Professor Seefchak ranked sixth in the nation as a top University Professor based on calculations from RateMyProfessor. All of the calculations were based entirely on student input.

“Every single one of the professors in this department is as great as the students say I am,” she said.

Professor Seefchak, who has been an educator for 27 years, teaches students who arrive at Edison State College without all the tools they need, she said.

“We prepare them and give them the tools and the support they need as college students,” she said. “We give them the self-confidence so they believe they can do it.”

The 2011-2012 rankings were released this week and include colleges across the country. The list can be found at http://blog.ratemyprofessors.com/

“There’s no higher honor for teachers and schools than to be praised by the students who are being impacted by their influence every day,” said Carlo DiMarco, senior vice president for Strategic Partnerships and Development at mtvU, which powers the RateMyProfessors site.
