Edison State Hosting Human Trafficking Summit September 24

Edison State College is hosting a webcast of the Florida Children & Youth Cabinet Human Trafficking Summit from 1-6 p.m. on Monday, September 24. This is free and open to the public with seating on three of the College's campuses.

"By raising public awareness of this problem, we as a community can work better together to help put a stop to this," said Dr. Jeff Allbritten, President, Edison State College.

Edison State College will broadcast it on three of its campuses:

  • Fort Myers: Building U, Room 102
  • Punta Gorda: Building O, Room 117
  • Naples: Building M, Room 201

Featured speakers include: Attorney General Pam Bondi; Secretary Wansley Walters of the Florida Children & Youth Cabinet Human Trafficking Workgroup; and Secretary David Wilkins of the Florida Children & Youth Cabinet. The keynote speaker is Tina Frundt of Courtney's House. Additional panelists include law enforcement representatives, members of the Florida Coalition Against Human Trafficking and Kristi's House.
