The Black Maria Film Festival on Lee Campus this Weekend

Oct 1, 2012

Join us on Saturday, Oct. 6 in the Rush Library Auditorium (J103) for the first Retrospective of the Black Maria Film Festival.

Named after Thomas Edison's production studio, The Black Maria features cutting edge, independent short films in several genres from around the world.

This is a qualifying festival for the category of Short Films for the Academy Awards and travels to several prestigious locations across the country each year.

This Retrospective will be heavily weighted with animation although there will also be live action, documentary, and experimental films as well.  The event is FREE to Edison State students and employees but you need to show your I.D. to pick up a ticket in S-102.  Seating is limited so be sure to get your ticket ahead of time.

Cost for the general public is $10 and they can purchase the ticket either in S102 or at the box office at the Edison Ford Winter Estates downtown.

Detailed list of films will be listed on Edison Ford website: www.edisonfordwinterestates.org. For more information on Edison State College visit www.edison.edu or Black Maria Film Festival www.blackmariafilmfestival.org.
