Tee Up For a Golf Tournament Hosted by Edison Collegiate High School

Oct 18, 2013

Golfers are invited to participate in Edison Collegiate High School Charlotte’s second annual golf tournament on Saturday, November 9 at the Kingsway Country Club.  Funds raised during this event are tax-deductible and will benefit local high school students with college scholarships.   Registration will begin at 7:00 a.m., with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. and lunch presentation at noon.

“We had such a great time with the tournament last year, and love that while having fun we are supporting the future of our local students,” said Diane Juneau, ECHS Charlotte Principal. “We hope that many people register this year to come and spend the day with us playing golf, or just join us for the lunch and awards portion of the event.”

There will be multiple opportunities to win prizes throughout the day, in addition to first, second and third place in the tournament.  DeSoto Auto Mall has donated a 1-year lease on a 2013 Ford Fusion for a hole in one on a designated hole on the golf course; and raffle prizes will be available during the lunch presentation.  This event is possible due to many generous sponsors provided, including Boca Grande Real Estate and Morgan-Stanley at the Platinum level.

Golfers can register to play in the tournament for $75 individually, or $300 for a team of four players.  All golfer registrations include the cart fee, continental breakfast, BBQ lunch, and tickets for raffle prizes.  Additionally, families and friends are invited to attend the lunch and raffle portion of the day for $16 per person.

For more information, or to register to play golf or attend the lunch event, contact Tournament Coordinator, Debra Meredith-Peters at (941)286-0201 or at debrapeters@comcast.net
