Governor Appoints Four Trustees

Florida Governor Rick Scott announced two appointments and two reappointments to the Edison State College District Board of Trustees. The terms are effective January 29, 2014 and are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

Byron Donalds and Eric Loche were appointed, representing Collier and Charlotte counties, respectively, and Braxton Rhone, representing Lee County and Chris Vernon, representing Collier County, were reappointed.

“We are pleased to welcome Trustees Donalds and Loche to the college and we look forward to working with them,” said Dr. Jeff Allbritten, President, Edison State College. “We are also delighted that Trustees Vernon and Rhone will continue their great service to the college. We are fortunate to have such dedicated professionals who are willing to share their expertise and time to help the college continue fulfilling its mission and vision.”

Donalds, of Naples, is the director of premium management at CMG Life Services Inc. He serves as chairman of the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Collier County and the vice president of Mason Classical Academy. Donalds received his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning January 29, 2014, and ending May 31, 2017.

Loche, of Port Charlotte, is a financial advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors. He serves on the board of directors for AMIkids Crossroads. Loche received his bachelor’s degree from California State University. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning January 29, 2014, and ending May 31, 2014.

Rhone, of Fort Myers, is an investment representative with Fidelity Investments. He is a member of the Florida Gulf Coast University Alumni Association Soaring Eagles Society. Rhone received his bachelor’s degree from Florida Gulf Coast University. He is reappointed for a term beginning January 29, 2014, and ending May 31, 2017.

Vernon, of Naples, is an attorney and founding partner at Vernon Healy. He has previously served on the board of directors for the Education Foundation of Collier County. He received his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and his law degree from Stetson University College of Law. He is reappointed for a term beginning January 29, 2014, and ending May 31, 2017.
