State-wide Mathematics Conference

The Edison State College Mathematics Department is hosting the 47th Annual Joint Meetings of the Florida section of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) and the Florida Two-Year College Mathematics Association (FTYCMA) on February 21 and 22, 2014.

The event consists of:

• Sessions and workshops presented by college and university students and professors from around the state of Florida
• Plenary sessions with guest speakers from around the nation
• An integration contest, a math puzzles competition, and a math Jeopardy challenge specifically for students
• Business meetings for FTYCMA and the Florida section of the MAA
• Commercial displays from education-related vendors

All sessions and workshops are taking place in the Classroom Building (Building U) on the south side of the Lee Campus of Edison State College.

The event is FREE for students and $20 for all other attendees.
