Open Forums Scheduled for Proposed Edison Collegiate High School

Mar 27, 2008

Two community forums on the proposed development of the Edison Collegiate High School ECHS at the Charlotte Campus are scheduled during the month of April. Parents and guardians of middle school students, as well as interested community members, are invited to attend the question and answer sessions and provide input on this dynamic concept designed for grades 9 through 12.

The Edison Collegiate High School would offer a rigorous curriculum with strong mentoring and critical thinking components and a global focus. Students would have the opportunity to earn both an Associate in Arts degree and a high school diploma in just four years. If approval is granted, the projected opening date would be Fall of 2009. All classes and textbooks, transportation, equipment and facilities would be available at no cost to the students.
