Edison College Foundation Elects New Board Members

Bruce Schultz, Chairman of the District Board of Directors of the Edison College Foundation, Inc., has announced that five new directors have been elected to the Foundation board for a three-year term beginning April 1, 2008.

Representing Lee county are Fort Myers native, Kevin A. Kyle, Esquire, a Florida Board Certified Tax Attorney and partner in Green, Schoenfeld and Kyle, LLP, and Dr. Richard Lewis, Principal Engineer for HSA Engineers and Scientists.

Three new directors will represent Collier county: Maurice "Mokey" Shea, Senior Vice President, Northern Trust; Rachel Gutman, who has served the community in various volunteer capacities throughout her 29 years in Collier county; and James R. Nici, Managing Partner, Cox and Nici.

Six current directors were re-elected for a three-year term: Kathy Hollinger, Charlotte county; Thomas Wagor, Collier county; Mitch Hutchcraft, Hendry and Glades counties; and Mary Lee Mann, Dilman Thomas and Bruce Schultz, all of Lee county.

Two directors from Fort Myers were honored with Honorary Lifetime Director status in recognition of their outstanding service to the Foundation: Berne B. Davis, a board member for 30 years and long-time board secretary, and Susan C. Kyle, a director for more than 10 years.

The Edison College Foundation, Inc., receives financial contributions in support of student scholarships, academic programs for its campuses in Charlotte, Collier and Lee counties and future campus in LaBelle. For more information, please phone 489-9210.
