Edison College To Host Three Commencement Ceremonies

Edison College will hold three commencement ceremonies within its five county service district the evenings of May 4 and 5, 2006.

The Charlotte Campus ceremony will be held Thursday, May 4 at the Charlotte County Tentatorium located at 75 Taylor Street, Punta Gorda beginning at 6 p.m. The commencement speaker will be David Klein, M.D., eye surgeon and newly appointed member of the College’s District Board of Trustees. Grand Marshall Dr. Lyman O’Neal will carry the Edison College Mace and lead the procession.

Susan Swain, Executive Vice President and Co-Chief Operating Officer of C-SPAN, will address the graduates at the Lee Campus ceremony to be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 5 in the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall on the Lee Campus, 8099 College Parkway, SW. Grand Marshall Dr. Dennis Hill will carry the Edison Mace and lead the procession.

Edison’s Collier Campus will hold its ceremony at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 5 in the River of Grass Ballroom at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club located on Gulfshore Boulevard, N. Fred Pezeshkan, President/CEO of Kraft Construction and the 2005 Leadership in Fostering Education Award honoree, will be the commencement speaker. Grand Marshall Professor Linda Weinland will carry the Edison Mace and lead the procession.
