Fairfax Promoted to Associate Vice President of Human Resources

Edison State College is proud to announce Ms. Pamela Fairfax’s recent promotion to Edison State College's Associate Vice President of Human Resources. Fairfax has worked with Edison State for nine years. During this time she was instrumental in reorganizing the Human Resources Department, assumed statewide leadership positions, and orchestrated a major employee compensation study. Fairfax is complimented on her willingness to engage in issues, her thoughtful analysis, her positive spirit, and her excellent understanding of people and organizations. This new position not only recognizes Fairfax’s major accomplishments, it also reinforces the importance the College places on its human resources. In Fairfax's new role, she will ensure employee issues are considered in the formulation of new strategies. Her input, insight, and sense of fairness will be invaluable as the College leadership forges into new territory. In Fairfax’s new capacity she will continue to lead the Human Resources Department and will serve as a facilitator on College legal issues. She will assist employees in the determination of legal counsel's involvement and if appropriate, will monitor issues with staff and legal counsel. Fairfax earned a Master of Business Administration Degree from George Mason University in Virginia. Please congratulate Pam on her much deserved promotion.
