Thanksgiving Basket Extravaganza- cast your vote!

Everyone gets involved in Thanksgiving preparations at Edison State College.  Since 2002, students, staff, faculty and administrators have donated items for an annual Thanksgiving Basket Drive. The baskets are given to college students whose families will benefit from receiving the baskets of food for the holiday. This year, 65 students have been named as potential recipients, almost double the amount from last year.

The tradition has become a much anticipated event on campus. Departments vie to create the most colorful, plentiful, fabulous baskets. The artistic talents of those participating reflect the generosity and mutual support on campus. The baskets are available for viewing and the entire campus is encouraged to vote for their favorite baskets in a variety of categories such as -Most Bountiful, Most Beautiful and Most Amusing. The prize for the winners is a coveted title that will need to be defended next year!

Thanksgiving Baskets will be displayed in the Rush Special Collections Gallery from 10am-4pm this Thursday and Friday. Stop by and cast a vote for your favorite display.

Edison State Student Life office receives the names of students from staff and professors who know them well and know they can benefit greatly from receiving a Thanksgiving Basket and/  or a Publix gift card donated by the ESC Foundation. Edison State looks forward to giving all our students reasons  to be thankful.
