Electronic Tuition Statements Make Tax Time Easier

Students, You can receive your Tuition Statements (the form you need to file with your federal taxes in order to write off tuition costs) electronically and save yourself a lot of headache and hassle at tax time.

Edison State College is giving you an extra incentive, Enroll by December 11th, 2009 and you will be automatically entered to win one of many $25 Hess Gift Cards.

Here’s what you need to know: If you are not already, log into the myEdison portal at http://my.edison.edu. Instructions for logging in and navigating through the secure website are available on the portal. Once you’re in:

  • Click the ‘Student Services’ tab.
  • Click ‘Tax Notification’ in the ‘Registration Online’ box.
  • Click the link ‘Consent to Receive your 1098_T Electronically’.
  • Follow the on screen instructions.

Questions and information updates related to the electronic 1098-T consent process should be directed to Edison State College via email at cashiers@edison.edu or by calling (239) 489-9386.

Please note, once you’ve agreed to receive your 1098-T information electronically, you are responsible for maintaining a valid email address with Edison State College. Until you withdraw your consent you will be notified via email each year when a 1098-T form is ready for your review.
