Edison to host Business & Technology Career Forum

PUNTA GORDA – Anyone interested in pursuing a career in business or computers is invited to participate in a free Business & Technology Career Forum hosted Thursday by the Academic Success Center at Edison State College Charlotte Campus.

 

The 1-hour forum is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. Thursday in room B-101 with pizza and beverages provided. The focus of the forum is to educate individuals interested in business or computers to the potential careers available in Southwest Florida as well as all pertinent courses available at Edison State.

 

Guest speakers Ed Davis and David Terpstra headline the forum. Davis, a former professor at Edison and a local business and training consultant with the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce, will discuss the area’s current job market and potential careers available. Terpstra, an instructional Assistant in Computer Science at Edison, will provide insight and guidance to computer and technology courses available at Edison.
