MSGT Gallagher is a born and raised Florida Cracker. Grew up on a ranch in Immokalee Fl., graduated from Immokalee High School and after a few years away at school joined the US Navy. Ten (10) yrs in the Navy as an Air Traffic Controller spending time in Spain, Italy, and Sicily got out and came back to Florida.

In 1990 Gallagher joined the Fort Myers Police Department. During his 19 yrs in the department he worked as a Patrol Officer, Narcotics Detective and SRO before being promoted to sergeant. As a sergeant he was charged with Patrol supervisor, Public Housing Unit Sergeant and Youth Relations Unit (SRO).

The years came and went Sgt. Gallagher retired in 2009 to his 40 acre farm to work with his Border Collies, sheep and cattle. Competing with his dogs all over the southeast.

After 3.5 years Gallagher returned to law enforcement and joined the FSW Police Department (At that time was Edison State College). A year working on the Lee campus the position of Sergeant on the Charlotte campus opened and he was selected for the position.

MSGT Gallagher has worked on this campus for 6 yrs and will retire back to his farm, dogs, cattle and sheep in a few more years.
