Florida Virtual School (FLVS), a public school designed to deliver courses via the Internet, is available free of charge for students who wish to pursue academic courses in a different format. Typically ECHS – Charlotte students do not take FLVS courses during the school year because they are already engaged in rigorous courses at school each day. However, students often pursue FLVS courses during the summer break. Some students want to add another challenging course to their transcript; other students retake a course in which they received a D or an F in order to master the subject matter and raise their grade point average.
