Asian Art

Chinese art forms comprise bronzes, textiles, ceramics, paintings, architecture, literature, drama, and music. Chinese art is influenced by the ancient traditions of Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism. All three are practiced today, and intermingle in modern Chinese society. Chinese bronze ware dating from the 16th to the 11th centuries represents some of the world’s finest cast bronze objects. Ceramic production dates back to approximately 5000 B.C.    The Chinese became masters of the ceramic art.
