Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) is committed to supporting the workforce needs of Southwest Florida. Through relevant and challenging coursework, FSW equips students with the skills and education needed to thrive in today’s workforce.

Through the work of our five academic schools, FSW takes pride in offering a diverse range of 60 academic programs, with a remarkable 59 dedicated to workforce development, strategically aligned with the expanding job market in Southwest Florida. FSW's commitment to relevance is exemplified by its close collaboration with regional business leaders and community partners, ensuring that course and program curriculum is specifically tailored to meet the dynamic needs of industry in southwest Florida.

At the forefront of this alignment effort are FSW's 16 advisory boards, comprised of approximately 350 industry experts. These boards play a pivotal role in shaping FSW's programs by providing invaluable, industry-specific insights and expertise. This collaborative synergy between academia and the business community not only enhances the quality of education at FSW but also ensures graduates are well-prepared and in-demand contributors to the thriving Southwest Florida workforce.
