The FSW Anchors Program empowers students from first-generation, limited-income, and historically underrepresented backgrounds, ensuring your smooth transition into college life and beyond. We believe in your potential, and we're here to provide you with the tools and resources to be successful at FSW and beyond.
First Year Experience/First Generation Initiatives
Our primary goal is to equip you, the first-year student, with all the skills and resources you need to thrive and succeed in college. Here, you'll find a supportive community of fellow students (including student leaders), faculty, and staff who genuinely understand your journey and are here to support and guide you every step of the way. Through interactive and engaging student success workshops, academic support, Guided Pathways, and enhanced student services, our focus is on nurturing your personal growth and empowering you to achieve academic excellence.
Peer Mentors
The Peer Mentor Program fosters a fulfilling college experience by offering personalized one-on-one sessions for SLS courses, assistance in navigating campus resources, hosting student success workshops, and cultivating an environment for academic achievement and personal growth.
