FSW Online Proctoring Information

All FSW Online exam proctoring will be conducted remotely using a fully-online service called Proctorio. This service is free to students and no scheduling is required!

New Requirements for all Online Students

  • A computer with a webcam, microphone, Google Chrome browser
  • A stable high-speed internet connection
  • A quiet and bright location to take proctored exams

If you do not have access to the required technology, limited resources are available at the locations below. All computers are first-come first-serve and are not guaranteed to be available.

Tips for Taking a Successful Proctorio Exam

  1. Log into Canvas and navigate to your exam, Proctorio will take over
  2. Read the exam instructions carefully
  3. Use Proctorio live chat if you encounter any technical difficulties. It is available 24/7! Click the Proctorio extension icon in Chrome's navigation bar for help. If the Proctorio agents are unable to resolve the issue, they will be able to document the issue for your professor
  4. When required to do a room scan, pan slowly be sure to include your working surface

It's up to you to demonstrate to your professor that you are not cheating!

Proctored Exam Expectations

By taking an FSW Online Proctored assignment or exam, you agree to comply with the Florida SouthWestern State College Code of Conduct which expressly prohibits Academic Dishonesty. Academic Dishonesty includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Cheating on an examination
  • Receiving help from others in work to be submitted, if contrary to the rules of the course
  • Plagiarizing, that is the taking and passing off as one's own the ideas, writings, or work of another, without citing the sources
  • Submitting work from another course unless permitted by the instructor
  • Stealing examinations or course materials
  • Falsifying records
  • Assisting anyone to do any of the above
