Edison Collegiate High School Lottery on Thursday

Mar 28, 2012

There are 100 seats available for next year’s freshman class at Edison Collegiate High School on the Lee Campus and there are 239 students who want them.

As a result, the high school will host a lottery Thursday night to select the students who will fill those seats.

The lottery is open to the public and will be held at the Edison Collegiate High School cafeteria Thursday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m.

The lottery process will establish both the initial 100 students and create an ordered waiting list. State statute requires that high school siblings and Edison State College employees have preferential considerations.

Once the freshman class has been chosen, students will attend a meet and greet on Thursday, April 12 at 6:30 p.m. All students must complete an enrollment packet by April 17 at 3:30 p.m. or they will lose their seat to a student on the waiting list. Students are encouraged to deliver the packet to the school.

Registrants will be notified of their enrollment status shortly after the lottery. The results will also be posted on the high school’s website at echslee.edison.edu.
