EDISON STATE COLLEGE CHARLOTTE CAMPUS HOSTING PET PARADE AND FESTIVAL

Edison State College Charlotte Campus will host a Pet Parade and Festival fundraiser to benefit the American Heart Association, on Saturday, February 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The event will take place on the Charlotte college campus, located at 26300 Airport Road, in Punta Gorda.  There is a $10 registration fee to enter your pet into the pet parade, and registrations will be accepted on the day of the event, prior to the parade.

“In Southwest Florida, pets tend to be a very important part of residents lives, so we wanted to have a fun event, while also supporting an important cause,” said Jennifer Cohen, Professor, Professional & Technical Studies - Business & Technology at Edison State College.  “The American Heart Association offers so many great programs and support systems, and we are thrilled to host this fundraiser so that these services continue to assist the families that need them.”

Attendees will enjoy a pet costume contest, interaction with special pet vendor exhibits, view Border Collie sheep herding demonstrations, visit the Pooch Smooch Booth, and register for prizes and raffles.   For more information, please contact Jennifer Cohen at (941) 637-5658.  Donations can be sent to: J. Cohen, Edison State College, 26300 Airport Road, H-101, Punta Gorda, FL, 33950.
