These student delegates will also determine the future of FCSSGA as they elect a new executive board, which includes Edison State College nominees Jacob Winge for president and Joe Garita for vice president. If elected, Winge and Garita will make Edison State College history as the first Edison students to hold president and vice president positions.

“The FCSSGA conference is a great opportunity for students from all of the Great 28 colleges to come together and learn from each other,” said Sue Buntic, Collier Campus Student Life Coordinator. “We are also very excited to see how the students vote in the executive board elections and if they choose Jacob and Joe to represent them in the coming year.”

FCSSGA represents the nearly one million students enrolled in the Florida College System's 28 colleges. It promotes legislative advocacy and training, leadership development, service learning, promotion of campus activities, and strong citizenship. The organization was created to unify the member colleges in order to best attend to the appropriate concerns of the students of the Florida Community College system and serve as a vehicle to communicate these concerns to the Florida Legislative Body.
