Edison State College to Host Nursing Pinning Ceremony

May 1, 2013

Punta Gorda-  Edison State College nursing students will celebrate graduating from the program with a pinning ceremony at 6 p.m. on May 2, 2013 at the Charlotte Campus. The ceremony will award the achievements to 23 graduates who will be earning their Associate’s degree in Nursing from Edison State College. The ceremony will include guest speakers in the field of nursing, a candle lighting ceremony, and other traditions to highlight the night.

The featured guest speaker of the night will include Kathleen Pace, RN MSN, who is the Chief Nursing Officer of the Fawcett Memorial Hospital and Englewood Community Hospital. The graduates will get to hear one on one experience and lifelong advice from Ms. Pace, which will carry them for a lifetime as they begin their professions in health care. This is an annual tradition that Edison has instilled as the students begin to embark on their journeys as nurses in Southwest Florida. The event is open to the public and business casual attire is encouraged.

For more information about the event, you may contact Wendy Morris at wendy.morris@edison.edu or the school of nursing at 941-637-5667.
