Edison State College is partnering with local healthcare providers, including Lee Memorial Health System, to present the 2013 Suncoast Pulmonary Symposium. The event will take place September 11-13 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs.

“This annual event always provides great opportunities for Respiratory Therapists, Cardiovascular Technologists, Registered Nurses, Nurses Practitioners, Physicians Assistants and Students to learn about the newest developments in their field,” said Dr. Jeffrey Elsberry, Associate Dean for Cardiopulmonary and Emergency Care at Edison State College. “Participants not only learn from the seminars and breakout sessions, but they also meet others in their field and share best practices.”

This is a unique opportunity for specialists in the field of respiratory care to network with their colleagues while hearing from industry experts, pharmaceutical companies, and equipment manufacturers about what's new and important in the field of respiratory care. Wednesday’s theme is critical care, Thursday is devoted to future trends for the Respiratory Care profession and Friday’s theme is focused on projected changes to Respiratory Care practice, as a result of the Affordable Care Act.
