Studio Edison State Garners Six AFC Marketing Awards

NOVEMBER 14, 2013 – FORT MYERS, FLA. – During the 64th annual convention of the Association of Florida Colleges (AFC) held in Orlando on Nov. 13-15, Studio Edison State, the public relations and marketing department of Edison State College, garnered six awards from the AFC Communications and Marketing Commission. Over 200 award submissions from Florida’s 28 state and community colleges were judged by public relations, advertising, marketing, and industry professionals.

In the Direct Mail Piece/Campaign category, Studio Edison State placed third for its Open House direct mail postcard, second in the Website category for the newly redesigned college website and second in the Article/Story Pitch Resulting in Publication category for the article “Edison Student Morgan Pepitone is First Hendry County Woman to Attend West Point.”

Studio Edison State also swept the Advertising-Print category placing third for the print advertisement Your College, Your Community, placing second for the print advertisement Go Higher, Get Accepted, and first for its GreenFest Expo print advertisement.

Studio Edison State was created in February 2013 to serve as the first college-wide public relations and marketing department for Edison State College.
