Edison College to Bestow First Baccalaureate Degrees on Friday, May 2

Edison College District President Kenneth P. Walker will confer degrees upon the College's inaugural baccalaureate graduates at the Lee Campus commencement ceremony beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 2 in the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall.

The first graduate to receive the Bachelor of Applied Science [BAS] in Public Safety Management degree will be Melissa Turney of Charlotte County, who is graduating summa cum laude. Fellow graduates are Lee County residents Nicholas Favazzo, Dana Harper, Gregory Harrel, James Licata, Michael Maurer, and Eric Nalewaik, and Collier County residents Frederick Plocinski and Daniel Zunzunegui.

Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott, an Edison College alumnus, will address the graduates. Grand Marshal Dr. Dennis Hill will carry the Edison Mace and lead the procession for his final year, as he is retiring after 32 years as Professor of Music.
