Charlotte Campus To Observe World Aids Awareness Day

About 40 million people are living with HIV throughout the world - and that number is said to increase in every region every day. In observance of World Aids Day, Edison College will present a seminar on the Charlotte campus, “Stop AIDS: Keep the Promise – Accountability” on Friday, Dec. 1 starting at 10 a.m.

Lectures include:
AIDS Prevention by Bobby Holbrook, RN ANRP at 10 a.m.
AIDS Treatment Updates by Dr. David Klein at 11:15 a.m.
AIDS on a Global Scale by Anita Johnson, RN, MA at 12:30 p.m.

Free nursing CEUs will be offered at each session. The 90-minute film “A Closer Walk” will be shown at 1:30 p.m.

All presentations will be held in the campus auditorium located at 26300 Airport Rd., Punta Gorda and are open to the public, free of charge. Call 941-637-5667 for more information.
