Observatory Viewing Session Friday Evening

Jan 12, 2010

The next public viewing session at the James and Barbara Moore Observatory at the Charlotte Campus will be held Friday night, 1/15/10.  View the night sky and get a good look at the moon and perhaps some galaxies through the Mead 16-inch LX200 telescope located in the dome of the lakeside observatory. Professor Dave Hanson will open the doors as soon as it is dark enough to see the stars, approximately 45 minutes after sundown - weather permitting.  All visitors are reminded to dress for the weather as there is no air conditioning or heat in the dome.  Call the information line at 637-3518 for more information.
