Collier Campus Gets Spotlight in Edison Innovations-Green Edition Newsletter

Feb 24, 2010

Edison State College is taking its commitment to the environment to the next level. With the Collier Campus leading the way, the district is poised to incorporate and to grow many of the ‘Green’ projects Collier has implemented in the past few years via an initiative declaring 2010 "The Year of the Environment."

Dr. Jeff Allbritten, Collier Campus President, is quick to give his faculty, students and staff members credit for promoting and implementing the impressive and successful Collier Campus environmental sustainability initiative.

“I am just so proud that this team really took the ball and ran with it,” said Allbritten. “I believed in their proposal, but I had no idea so many people would put so much energy into the project and grow it on so many levels.”

President Allbritten is pleased to see the entire Edison State District getting involved in sustainability efforts and hopes the community will view Edison State as a resource and leader in the environmental arena.
