Collier Campus SGA Wins Two State Honors

The Student Government Association (SGA) at Edison State College Collier Campus just returned from the Florida Junior Community College Student Government Association (FJCCSGA) State Conference with two awards: winner of the Exemplary Practices Award and second place in a statewide scrapbook competition.

 

“We are fortunate to have such an energetic and dynamic group of students who truly exemplify a commitment to academic, leadership and community involvement,” said Dr. Jeff Allbritten, President, Edison State College Collier Campus.

 

The Collier SGA took top honors in Exemplary Practices Award for their work with the Boys and Girls Club of Collier County. The Edison SGA students host the Boys and Girls Club monthly on campus, presenting workshops on a variety of topics concerning success, leadership and college life.

 

The conference, held in St. Petersburg, featured several workshops and presentations.

 

The Edison State College Collier Campus, 7007 Lely Cultural Parkway, is located off Collier Boulevard, three miles north of Tamiami Trail East.
