Edison Collier Campus to Host Dual Enrollment Night March 3

Feb 24, 2011

Edison State College Collier Campus is hosting a Dual Enrollment Information Night for all Collier County high school, technical school and home school students and their parents. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 3 in the auditorium of Edison State College Collier Campus.

“Students who are dually enrolled have a terrific opportunity to take college courses while still attending high school,” said Dr. Jeff Allbritten, President, Edison State College Collier Campus. “They can potentially earn an associate’s degree along with their high school diploma.”

Students participating in dual enrollment earn college credit without paying for tuition, fees or books. More and more students are capitalizing on this opportunity, with enrollment increasing 50 percent in the past four years.

“We work closely with the Collier County School District so students and their parents are aware of the benefits of dual enrollment,” said Dr. Christine Davis, Associate Dean.

No pre-registration is required.  The session is open to interested students and their parents.  Additional information is available by calling (239) 732-3107.

The Edison State College Collier Campus, 7007 Lely Cultural Parkway, is located off Collier Boulevard, three miles north of Tamiami Trail East.
