Risk Management & Insurance Badge

The Risk Management & Insurance badge notes the successful completion of nine college credit hours studying personal insurance, business & property insurance, and risk management. Completing the coursework required to earn this badge paired with your AA/AS or BAS degree allows you to bypass state examinations for several Florida insurance licenses, type 4-40, 20-44, and 2-15.

How Do I Get Started?

Current students wishing to earn this badge should enroll in one of the RMI course listed below to get started.

Badge(s) are issued after course completion and submission of final grades. After successful completion of all three courses you will receive final RMI badge.

Successfully completing the RMI courses while completing your AA/AS or BAS degree allows you to bypass state examinations for several Florida insurance licenses listed below.

Florida Insurance License

4-40, Resident Customer Representative License

20-44, Resident Personal Lines License

2-15, Resident Health & Life (including Annuities & Variable Contracts) Agent License

Students earning the final RMI badge are provided with detailed directions outing how to navigate the state process to obtain your licenses while bypassing the state exams.
