FSW Training Center

The FSW Training Center provides high-quality CPR and first aid courses to FSW students, faculty/staff, and community members.

The training center is in affiliation and compliance with the American Heart Association (AHA).

Courses provided:

Heartsaver CPR, AED and First Aid

Heartsaver CPR and first aid courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical experience. After completing the course, participants receive a two-year certification.

  • Heartsaver CPR, AED, First Aid - $80

Heartsaver for K-12 Schools

K-12 schools wishing to train their students, faculty, and staff are eligible for the Heartsaver K-12 course. This course covers the same material as the Heartsaver CPR and First Aid, but is offered at a reduced cost.

  • Adult/child/infant CPR and AED: 4 hrs - $50/person
  • First Aid only: 4 hrs - $45/person
  • CPR and First Aid: 7 hrs - $80/person

Stop The Bleed

Our instructors will teach you live—in person, using training materials specially developed to teach bleeding control techniques. They will not only instruct you, they will be available to check your movements as you practice three different bleeding control actions. They will keep working with you until you demonstrate the correct skills to STOP THE BLEED® and save a life.

  • Stop the bleed: 1.5 hrs - $35

Basic Life Support (BLS)

This course is designed for prehospital providers and in-facility hospital providers. The BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED

  • BLS: 4 hrs - $60/person

ACLS

This course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response

  • ACLS Initial: 16 hrs- $125/person

PALS

This course is designed for healthcare professionals who participate on the management of pediatric emergencies and reinforces the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics.

  • PALS : 16 hrs- $125/person

Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS)

This curriculum offers health care providers the training to make a rapid evaluation, stabilize, and care for stroke patients.

Course prerequisite: ASLS Online: Prehospital & In-Hospital Provider (Additional Cost)

  • ASLS skills: $160

ACLS/BLS Combo

This course will cover both ACLS and BLS competencies.

  • ACLS/BLS: 16hrs - $185

Payment Information

Participants can pay via money order, cash, check, or credit card. For money order, cash, or check payments, please print and fill out the Bursar form below and submit the fully completed form with your payment to the Cashier's office on the FSW Lee Campus in Building S.

Money orders and checks must be made out to FSW AHA Training Center.

Upcoming Courses

  • All upcoming courses are held at Florida SouthWestern State College, Building A, room A-215.
  • Parking is located in Lot #1.
  • If FSW closes due to inclement weather, classes will be canceled and participants will be rescheduled.

All payments are due prior to the day of class.
