Biography
Rebecca M. Montalvo is an artist and educator specializing in digital art and emerging media. She earned her MFA in Studio Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is a Ph.D. candidate in Digital Arts and Experimental Media (DXARTS) at the University of Washington. Her academic and professional experience includes teaching and working in digital art, video, experimental media, and interdisciplinary studio practices. Her creative work incorporates digital imaging, video, creative coding, glitch processes, photogrammetry, and emerging technologies. Montalvo currently serves as Professor of Digital Art at Florida SouthWestern State College, where she teaches courses in digital art and emerging media.
