What is FAFSA?

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a free online form you complete to apply for federal student aid to help pay for college or career school.

What would we be doing?

Students and Contributors will create a Federal Student Aid (FSA) Account to fill out the FAFSA Form. If you already have an FSA Account, we can begin completing the FAFSA!

How can I prepare for the event?

Students and contributors can complete the creation of an FSA account at home. This helps improve the completion of the FAFSA Form.

What to Bring

  • Laptop (We will have a dedicated computer space set up so attendees can log in and fill out their FAFSA application)
  • Driver’s License
  • Social Security Number (SSN)
  • Alien Registration Number (A-number/USCIS#) if applicable
  • FSA ID: Username and Password
  • Tax returns for the last 2 years (e.g., for 2026-2027, bring 2024 taxes)
  • Current balances of cash, savings, and checking accounts

**Note** Dependent students (under 24) will need the same items for their contributor
