Teacher candidates will experience multiple classroom settings during their field experiences in our program. From semester to semester, placements will occur at varying schools and grade levels, in an effort to provide teacher candidates with exposure to a variety of classroom settings and student demographics.
Teacher candidates in Lee County School District will experience at least 3 different classroom settings, and those in surrounding districts with fewer schools will experience at least 2 different classroom settings.
Additional layers of diversity will be dictated by the teacher candidate's course enrollment, which will include working with ELL students, students with IEPs, and struggling readers.
