FSW Presents 2015 Spring Student Music Concert Series at B.B. Mann

April 16, 2015 – FORT MYERS, FLA. – Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) will be hosting the 2015 Spring Student Music Concert Series at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall.

Each season the community has an opportunity to attend performances by FSW’s gifted student musicians in the Symphony Orchestra, Choir, Jazz Ensemble, and Concert Band.

Concerts are free to the public and seating is open in the performing arts hall. All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m.

Opening the concert series on Thursday, April 16 will be the Concert Band, who will travel musically around the world from the Americas to Europe.

The Symphony Orchestra and College Choir will deliver a night of classical pieces scored by musical luminaries ranging from Mozart to Mussorgsky on Monday, April 20.

For the last performance of the semester on Monday, April 27, guests will loosen their collars with the Jazz Band as they demonstrate what it means to be cool with Miles Davis and Louis Armstrong.

“We designed the Student Music Concert Series to be a free service to the community. The arts are strong at Florida SouthWestern State College and we want to share the impressive musical talents of our students with the community,” said FSW President Jeff Allbritten.
