FSW's Iamurri Named National Coach of the Year

Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) Head Softball Coach Robert Iamurri has been named the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Coach of the Year for softball.

The award takes into consideration the overall coaching record, professional honors and contributions to the sport. Iamurri coached his 30th career season at Naples High School last year.

“It really is an honor to be recognized by my peers,” said Iamurri. “Coaching for Naples High School was an amazing experience. Now I’m excited about coaching softball for FSW.”

Iamurri has a long-standing connection in Southwest Florida, which includes earning his Associate in Arts degree from Edison Community College. He was the head softball coach for Naples High School from 1986-2014.
