Florida SouthWestern State College Hosts Annual “Family Math Night”

FEBRUARY 12, 2016 – FORT MYERS, FLA. The Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) School of Education will host “Family Math Night” on Monday, March 14, 5:45-7:30 p.m., at The Heights Foundation, 15570 Hagie Drive, Fort Myers. Students in Kindergarten through the fifth grade are encouraged to attend this free family-oriented event centered on math games.

“Many parents get stuck in a homework rut with their children,” said Mary Robertson, FSW Professor of Mathematics Education. “This event is designed to give parents and their children fun ways to teach and learn mathematical concepts.”

Attending families will play games created by FSW School of Education teacher candidates. This free event is open to the public. Students are encouraged to register at familymathnight@fsw.edu.
