FSW to Host Career Fairs April 6-7

Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) is hosting a series of upcoming Career Fairs April 6 and 7 on three campuses.

On April 6, Career Fairs will be held on the Thomas Edison (Fort Myers Campus) from Noon-2 p.m. in Building U, Room 102. Also on April 6, a Career Fair will be on the Charlotte County Campus (Punta Gorda) at the Bell Tower from 2:00p.m.-3:00 p.m. On April 7, a Career Fair will be on the Collier County Campus (Naples) from 10 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in the main outdoor breezeway.

These events are free and open to the public.

“The purpose of these events is to connect people with potential career employers. The participating organizations are focusing on candidates in search of full-time professional career opportunities and internships,” said Cal Majure, Assistant Director, FSW’s Office of Student Life and Orientation, which is sponsoring the Thomas Edison (Fort Myers Campus) event. “The Career Fair is to help people establish their career path. We encourage everyone to dress for possible on-the-spot interviews and to bring their resumes and portfolios.”

A few organizations expected to participate in the different campus career fairs include: Collier County Public Schools, Florida SouthWestern State College Human Resources. Florida SouthWestern State College Alumni Association, City of Sanibel Recreation Center, Hyatt Regency Coconut Point, Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina, Cape Coral Police Department, Collier County Sheriff's Office, Fort Myers Police Department, Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Lee County Sheriff's Office, Lee County Tax Collector, Office of the Public Defender - 20th Judicial Circuit, Ambitrans Medical Transport, Amerilife and Health Services of Lee County, Arthrex, First Family Insurance, Family Health Centers, Florida Cancer Specialists, HealthForce, Lee Memorial Health System, NCH Healthcare System, Shell Point Retirement Community, Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial, Wells Fargo, LOWE'S, Publix, The Home Depot, Bright Horizons Children's Centers, Buckeye International Inc., Career Source Southwest Florida, CINTAS, Enterprise Holdings, Fastenal Company, Jasper Contractors, Labor Ready, LCEC (Lee County Electric Cooperative), and Suncoast Trucking Academy.
